Daniel 11:32 (KJV): ...but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.

This verse was not written about a time of great peace, joy, and economic prosperity. It was a prophetic verse, written by Daniel, about a time in world history when Israel would be under domination of an evil empire and their ability to worship God removed and ridiculed. God was simply telling Daniel, no matter how bad the world becomes, there is never a time to lower our heads, hide in our homes, pull the shades down, and hope not to be found. Quite the opposite is true. There is no greater time to demonstrate our faith and stand up for the Lord before the world. Where sin abounds, grace (God's power), does much more abound! It is time to know the Word, know our God, and do supernatural exploits. God shines in darkness, shows His strength when the world brags about theirs, and comes through in power in our times of weakness. All it takes is a believer standing up and becoming a channel for God to show Himself strong.

The Hebrew word for "exploits" is twofold: first, to stand firm; secondly, to take action.

THE TWENTY-FIRST CENTURY

Today is no different than the day of Daniel's prophecy or the day he spoke of in Israel's history. When Daniel wrote this book, he was being challenged to denounce his God and serve the gods of the Babylonians. In the days of the early Church, the disciples were being told to worship Caesar and denounce their God. They stood up and changed the world, one convert and disciple at a time.

As Christians, we are being pressured on every side today to denounce our God and accept the gods of nature, secular humanism, and even Islam. There is a tendency in the Church world to hide and wait for the coming of the Lord. Many are simply looking for an escape from the world, not an opportunity to stand up and let the world see the power of God and His people.

God is waiting today for a chance to show His ruling power to the world and let them know Satan, governments, and religion are not the answer. Jesus is the answer and the new birth is available to all who will call on the name of the Lord. In essence, God is waiting on His people to know Him, be strong, and speak out the truth. In other words, God is waiting for His people to do exploits, stand firm, and take action. I have a feeling the world is also waiting for the same thing. If you are willing to rise up, stand strong, and do exploits, God will thank you and a dying world will also thank you.
