DAY 11
Read: 1 Kings 3:9:
Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil: For who is able to judge this great a people of Yours? (NKJV)
Speak: Lord, I thank you that I have an understanding heart and above all else, that you have given me Your wisdom concerning every area of my life.
Think: If you could ask God for absolutely anything, what would you ask for? Most of us would be tempted to ask for wealth rather than wisdom to handle the wealth God has already provided for us to receive.
Pray: Father, more than anything else in life I ask you for your divine wisdom. You promised if I would ask, You would give it to me if I would ask in faith and not doubt. Thank for the wisdom I need today and for the wisdom I need concerning my commitment to giving into Your kingdom.
Grow: The Lord appeared to Solomon and told him he could have anything he wanted.

Most people would have probably rubbed their hands together and said, “Oh boy! I’ve been dreaming about this for a long time! Lord, I want so much wealth that nobody in the world will even come near it. I want the best looking chariots in the world. I want my castle to be the biggest in the land. I want a walk-in closet that will take two days to walk from one end to the other. I want to have the most gorgeous garments in all the kingdom. And besides that, Lord, I want my friends to be the most powerful and affluent people in the world. Oh, and by the way Lord, if anybody ever attacks me, I want an army that will crush them in a day’s time.” But what did Solomon ask for? Wisdom. In his first personal encounter with God, he simply asked for wisdom. All the training and teaching he received from his father and mother was good, but it was time for him to make a personal dedication to the Lord, to put Him first in all things just as his parents had done.
