The Apostle Paul’s first revelation concerning the unity that should be in the Church may have begun at his Damascus Road encounter with the Lord Jesus.

As he was on his way to continue killing and imprisoning believers, Jesus stopped him, dramatically, and asked him, “Saul, Why do you persecute Me?”

As Paul gained understanding of our position in Christ, he went on to write, extensively, about the necessity of unity among all believers, and the vital importance of each person’s place in the Body of Christ.
